Posted on: May 2, 2018

There is a wide range options available to you when it comes to at home teeth whitening products these bleaching agents are increasingly popular nowadays as a growing number of people look for more affordable ways to whiten their teeth

We all know how important having a bright smile is. Your teeth are one of the first things people notice about you. When your teeth are white and shiny, people assume you are younger, friendlier, and more successful, while the opposite is true if your teeth are badly damaged or discolored.

There is no need to walk around feeling unhappy about the way your smile looks. It is now possible to get professional whitening products dispensed to you. We have 2 options:

Course of Opalescence

Opalescence comes in strip form which adheres to your teeth and is effective when you wear it for as little as 20 minutes daily until the course is finished. Unlike many other whitening products, this gel doesn't just make your teeth whiter, it also helps you to keep your teeth white. This product also delivers fluoride to your teeth, keeping their enamel healthy while you whiten them. You will notice the difference.

Custom trays

Customized trays are made specifically for your teeth by taking an impression of your teeth. While gels like Opalescence can be applied directly to your teeth, it's a lot more effective when you use a tray. It's even more effective when you use a tray that is customized specifically for you. It ensures a tighter fit, which keeps the whitening product on your teeth for longer while preventing saliva and particles in your mouth from contaminating it. Besides your tray can be used over and over again and all you have to do is purchase refills. Your friends and family will be captivated by your new smile !!!!

How it works

There are two types of stains that appear on your teeth: intrinsic and extrinsic. The latter live within micro cracks on your teeth's dentin and enamel, while the former appears on the surface of your tooth. Over-the-counter whitening substances like mouthwashes and toothpaste are good enough to remove extrinsic stains on your teeth, but professional-strength at home teeth whitening products are needed to remove intrinsic stains and stubborn extrinsic stains.

The active ingredient in Opalescence gel is hydrogen peroxide and our Philip Zoom custom trays are carbamide peroxide. These compounds penetrate the enamel of your skin and whiten discolored molecules deep inside. Oxygen molecules in the bleaching agent then break down stains, whitening your teeth. They both offer similar results the main difference is the custom trays can be worn both day and night, Philips gel is less sensitive and it lasts longer.
